Year 2

Summer Term:

This term’s learning focus is ‘Tremendous Technology’. We will be centring our learning around staying safe online, we will be getting to know new characters Hector, Sprat, Ranjeet and Ming who will give us some handy top tips! Once we have learnt useful top tips for staying safe online, we will be creating films to advertise to other children on how to stay safe. We will edit our films to make them even more fantastic! We can’t wait to get started!

We recently went on our residential trip to Shugborough hall. We had a fantastic time getting up to lots of exciting activities including; fire lighting, drumming, designing a team flag and creating a shelter for a woodland creature. We even toasted bread over the fire, it was delicious! Our favourite part was sleeping in the dormitories with our friends, we felt very grown up and even went to sleep when Miss Hewitt told us to!

How parents can help:

We need our book bags every day!

Our homework is due in every Wednesday.

We need our P.E kits at school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Spring Term:

This terms topic is ‘Care, Belief, Pride and Success’. We will begin by exploring our school values and how we can use the values to help us to achieve the best that we can! We will take pride in our work and believe that we can succeed!

We will be linking this to the Paralympics, by discovering the steps the Paralympians took along the way to achieve their goals.

The finale to our topic will be a fantastic artwork display which will represent the values of Care, Belief, Pride and Success.
