Good morning year 3, I hope you all had a lovely half term. The weather has been lovely!!

2. Today's English lesson is revising similes and metaphors. We have done quite alot of work on similes so you should be a whizz at them :) 

 

3. We have learnt about the Stone Age and Bronze Age, now you can learn about the Iron Age.

 

4. This is your first R.E lesson for the last summer term.

Lesson 1:

This term in RE we will be learning about religious leaders.  But first, let’s think about leaders in general.  Boris Johnson leads our country, Gareth Southgate leads our country’s football team and Ms Stevenson leads our school.  Can you think of any other leaders?  Woody from Toy Story and Mufasa from Lion King are both leaders (Woody takes charge of the other toys and Mufasa is the King of the other animals.)  Choose one of the two Disney characters and write a paragraph in your yellow home learning books about what qualities they have which make them a good leader.

3. This is a fun Art lesson for you. As we were meant to be using clay this term to make sculptures we need to improvise! Can you make some salt dough or have any playdough?

you could research are: Jill Townsley, Nick Mackman, Eva Rothschild and Barbara Hepworth.

2. Create a poem about Easter. Remember to try and make it ryhme, use metaphors, similes,

alliteration, onomatopoeia (i'll be impressed if some of you remember what this is) and verses. 

You can create any poem for example -  acrostic, sonnet, free verse etc.

Please write them in your yellow book and feel free to email me a picture of it :)
